The smallest text on your poster should be at least 3/8 inches or 9mm high, and the important points should be in a larger font size.

Poster Size: Poster material must fit within the display size which is 44 ½” high by 91” wide less a 3” x 6” area in the upper left hand corner that is used for the poster number.

Tips on Poster Presentation

It pays to be well prepared. Make sure to bring all necessary materials you may need to repair the poster after traveling, such as transparent adhesive tape and an extra set of your poster papers. Do bring a good supply of your abstract copies  to give to interested parties.

Make your poster presentation easy to read with some visual display. Remember the audience may have a short time frame to pay attention to your presentation. Use color for highlighting and to make your poster more attractive.   Use pictures, diagrams, cartoons, figures, etc., rather than only text wherever possible.

Make your poster as self-explanatory as possible. This will save your time to use for discussions and questions.

Prepare a short presentation (five minutes) that you can periodically give to those assembled around your poster. Please bring extra copies of your abstract to hand out if requested during the poster session. Plan to spend the entire period of your assigned presentation time at your poster location. Please do not write or paint on the poster boards.

If there is more than one author attending the conference, all should attend the poster presentation to aid in the presentation and discussion and to provide the main presenter with a chance to rest and to answer questions.

There will be no audio-visual equipment for poster presentations, as space does not permit it. Aisles between posters must be kept clear of any chair or other items that may obstruct the flow of traffic of people through the poster area.

Please consult with the updated program which will be posted on our web site from time to time.
