International Travel Information
Citizens of
other countries must carry a valid passport and visa to
enter the USA. Foreign participants should contact the
United States Embassy, Consulate, or Office of Tourism
in their home country AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to determine
their particular visa requirements.
In order to ensure that international attendees are
familiar with the very latest U.S. passport and visa
regulations, we have compiled the following information.
US-VISIT:
As of January 5, 2004, the US-VISIT program is in
effect. Most foreign visitors to the U.S. will now have
their two index fingers scanned, and a digital
photograph will be taken at your port of entry. Complete
information on US-VISIT is available on the
Department of
Homeland Security Web site.
You can also visit
the web site of
http://www.UnitedStatesVisas.gov,
an official source of information
about U.S. visa policy and procedures. Use this site to
learn about the visa application process, understand
current requirements, and get updates on recent
developments.
Visa Waiver Program:
Implementation of the Visa Waiver program, which
initially was scheduled to be in place as of October 1,
2003, has been postponed for all but six countries until
October, 2004. (The six countries for which the Visa
Waiver Program will be in effect in 2003 are: Andorra,
Belgium, Brunei, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, and
Slovenia). The Visa Waiver Program could dramatically
affect your ability to enter the U.S., and we highly
recommend that you learn more about the program now.
Please take the time to read the latest news and details

Invitation Letter
International attendees of IANT Meetings often need a
letter of invitation from IANT in order to obtain a visa
to visit the US. Because of increased scrutiny of visa
applicants, many potential attendees of scientific
meetings in the United States have experienced unusual
delays in obtaining travel visas.
To request an
official invitation from the Organizing Committee,
you must have registered with the
Registrar and have paid the required registration fees.
The registration are refundable if the visa application
is denied. An administrative charge of $50 will be
applied to all refunds.
To request an
official invitation letter, please complete an online
request form at:
