Topic: How the High Tech Sector Can Reach Overseas Markets

Join the International Association of Nanotechnology and the Clean Tech Institute on Thursday, August 21, to find out how American manufacturers in the tech sector can best connect with buyers overseas.

Aaron Held, Commercial Officer with the United States Department of Commerce-Silicon Valley Export Assistance Center, will discuss how his government agency can provide on-the-ground assessments of market potential, identify international buyers, distributors and agents, and provide guidance on key considerations in the export process.

Mr. Held is a United States diplomat currently on assignment at the United State Export Assistance Center in San Jose and his portfolio includes the environmental business and professional services sectors. Prior to his arrival in San Jose last year, Mr. Held served as Vice Consul for Commercial Affairs at the American Consulate General in Monterrey, Mexico, and as a Commercial Specialist at the United States Embassy in Tokyo, Japan.
